About the Founder

Dr. Kiara Price-Grant founded the group in April, 2019 after having a conversation with her mother about the need for seasoned married women to pour into single women before they say “I Do” to discuss the good, bad, and the ugly. It was then that she discovered how many women were yearning for guidance and someone to confide in during their newly-wed experience. Dr. Price-Grant felt like it was her due diligence with her Counseling background to afford an opportunity for Brown single and married women to be heard. “Conducting the first two meetings, I knew that I was solely walking in my purpose once the Brown Girls started to have open dialogue about their victories, challenges, and wanting advice on how to handle themselves throughout their  journeys”. As the communities of Brown Girls expand, Dr. Price-Grant plans to provide as much support to ensure that all Brown Girls are well equipped with the knowledge and expertise as it pertains to the “Tea” on Marriage.
