Our Mission

The Original Brown Girls Tea was founded in April, 2019 by Dr. Kiara Price-Grant. The Original
Brown Girls Tea on Marriage is a platform which allows Brown women from all over the world to
join forces to discuss the “Tea on Marriage”. All generations are present from the Traditionalists
to the Millennials. This group affords the opportunity to ask questions, listen to testimonials,
share fears, celebrate victories, and empower one another. This platform was essentially
created for married women to pour into single women as they prepare themselves to eventually
say “ I Do”, for married women to pour into one another, for single women to become vulnerable
with their single peers, and for single women to celebrate each other's small victories.

The Brown Girls meet up quarterly in their perspective small groups physically or virtually, to
discuss various topics that married women encounter. Due to the vulnerability, openness, and
heartfelt concerns, Brown Girls meet ups are typically small and intimate.
In the future, it is our goal for all of our Brown Girls small groups to congregate together for one
massive conference to connect with other Brown Girls globally.
